Established in 1865, Domaine des Comtes Lafon has long stood as one of the finest white wine producers in the world. Based in Meursault, the Lafons make some of the most intensely precise and beautifully textured Burgundies. It’s no surprise that the wines are perennial favorites here at Crush.
When Dominique took over the estate in 1985 from his father René, he immediately began to return control of the vineyards to the Lafons from previous shareholder agreements and soon started to convert the vineyards to organic and biodynamic practices. Over the years, Lafon’s style has evolved from a deeper, richer, and more savory one to being laser focused, stony, and bright. Dominique’s legacy continues with his daughter, Léa, and nephew Pierre, who are now managing the estate.

There are just shy of sixty different white Burgundies in the list below. Many of Burgundy's top white winemakers are included.
I should mention a couple of highlights and rarities. For starters, I should mention the three-liters of Roulot's 2007 Tesson Mon Plasir. Large formats of Roulot rarely see the light of day, and Jean-Marc's 2007s are spectacular.
There is also a wide range of Dauvissat's Chablis, including magnums.
